Preschool Christmas Program

The Preschool Christmas Program was a blessing from beginning to end.  The music was beautiful and the smiling faces of children and parents were a reflection of the glory of Christmas.

Our costumes are ready and a song is in the air.

Smiles are on the faces of everyone.

Let's see...I think the Wisemen did their sash like this.

Precious Lord, we ask you to help us to do our very best.
We pray that we will bring you glory and honor.

Is everyone ready to go to Bethlehem?

Okay, put your hands on your hips.

Let's get the wiggles out from our heads to our toes.

Put your Christmas smiles on for mom and dad.

Grandparent's Day was a Blessing!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Worship Service with our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.  After the service it was a delight to host a "Tea" for our grandparents and special guests.  Thanks for the
memories.  We have so much to be thankful for.  I thank God for my precious students and their families.

We had a guest reader in Miss Judy's Class today.  It is always exciting to hear from our friends as they learn to read.  We all enjoyed the book Sam is for the sound S.  We look forward to hearing from other friends as the year progresses

Grandparent's Day and Thanksgiving are coming

Miss Judy's Class is getting ready for Thanksgiving and Grandparent's Day.  The Indians and Pilgrims are starting to appear on our walls and in our classroom.  Check our blog regularly for new pictures.  Start talking with your children now about the many things we have to be thankful for.

Thank you for sending your children dressed appropriately for our cooler weather.  We appreciate your help.  We are trying to keep everyone well during this season of the year.

The children did a wonderful job of sharing through Operation Christmas Child.  I was thankful to see the children so excited about giving to others.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Heiskell

On October 15, Piano music filled the halls of The Heiskell School .  The Birthday Girl, Mrs. Heiskell, delighted one and all as she played the piano for chapel.  What a joy it was for the students to sing Jesus Loves Me as Mrs. Heiskell's fingers brushed across the keyboard and the melody of God's promises resounded through the gym.

Happy 92nd Birthday, Mrs. Heiskell

I am so thankful that God in His mercy called me to be a teacher and opened the doors to accomplish His will.  Look at the faces of these children and tell me you wouldn't love to have my job!  Enjoy a "window" on our classroom.  Visit our blog often to "see" what we are doing.  You never know when an elephant might be dancing in Miss Judy's Class.  I once heard elephants were even fed carrots...but I can't tell for sure...

I love a morning that starts with a tea party and a few sweet friends.

Are they just building with blocks or building dreams for their future?

City girls enjoy playing down home on the farm.

We are learning new things everyday.  The children are working hard and doing their best.

Snack time puts a smile on every face!
